NIGER SPEAKER MOURNS CHAIRMAN OF NATIONAL POPULATION COMMISSION, DR. AMINU YUSUF

The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Barr. Abdulmalik Mohammed Sarkin-Daji, has expressed deep sadness over the death of the Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), Dr. Aminu Yusuf, who died after a brief illness.

In a condolence message, signed by the head information and public relations department Rukayyah M Tanko, the Speaker described the death of Dr. Aminu Yusuf as a great loss to Nigeria, particularly at a time when his experience, leadership and commitment were needed in the development of the nation’s population management and planning efforts.

Rt. Hon. Barr. Abdulmalik Mohammed Sarkin-Daji said Dr. Aminu Yusuf made valuable contributions to the country through his service and leadership at the National Population Commission, noting that his commitment to national development would be remembered by Nigerians.

The Speaker extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the management and staff of the National Population Commission, as well as the government and people of the country over the painful loss.

He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him eternal rest and give his family, colleagues and loved ones the strength and comfort to bear the loss.
