NECO RELEASES 2026 SSCE RESULTS

National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the twenty-twenty six senior school certificate examination (SSCE) internal results held at the NECO headquarters, Minna, Niger State.

‎NECO Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, made the official release during a press briefing,stating that the exam provided an opportunity for the council to demonstrate commitment to excellence, fairness, and the integrity of certification.
‎
‎Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi said a total of one million three hundred and seventy-eight thousand and forty-eight candidates registered for the examination, while one million three hundred and seventy-one thousand nine hundred and ninety-two candidates sat for the examination.
‎
‎He noted that eight hundred and four thousand nine hundred and forty-eight candidates got five credits and above including english language and mathematics, while one million one hundred and sixty-two thousand one hundred and eighteen candidates got five credits and above irrespective of english language and mathematics.
‎
‎The council recorded a decrease of malpractice in twenty-twenty six involving one thousand four hundred and six candidates as against three thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight in twenty-twenty five.
‎
‎Kano State came top on the list of standard of education performance ranking by geo-political zone in five credits and above including mathematics and english with nine point two four percent followed by Lagos State with nine point zero one percent.
‎
‎Niger State came fifth on the standard of education performance ranking for North Central Zone with twenty-five thousand eight hundred and fifty candidates having five credits and above irrespective of mathematics and english.
‎
‎The registrar said candidates can now access their results on the NECO website on www.neco.gov.ng, while reiterating the councils gratitude to all stakeholders and assured the public that NECO will remain steadfast in its mission.
